Dan Teleman, CEO
Prior to joining Atox Bio, Mr. Teleman was the co-founder and CEO of PainReform, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on pain therapeutics. Prior to founding PainReform in 2007, Mr. Teleman was a senior Business Development officer at Pharmos, a company focused on the research and development of novel CB2 receptor agonists for the treatment of neuropathic and inflammatory pain. Prior to Pharmos, Mr. Teleman held marketing and sales positions at Amgen working on Enbrel, a $4 billion drug. Prior to Amgen, Dan served as an officer in one of Israel Defense Forces R&D unit. Mr. Teleman holds an MBA from the Duke University-Fuqua School of Business and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
Dr. Raymond Kaempfer, Scientific Co-Founder and Chief Scientist
Dr. Raymond Kaempfer is the Dr. Philip M. Marcus Professor of Molecular Biology and Cancer Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. A molecular biologist at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, Dr. Kaempfer obtained his PhD from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) and was a member of the Harvard University Biology faculty before joining the Hebrew University in the mid-1970s. Recognized worldwide as a leader in the field of superantigens, Dr. Kaempfer’s list of over 100 publications includes seminal contributions in the fields of molecular biology, gene regulation, cancer and molecular immunology.
Dr. Anat Shirvan, VP R&D
Prior to joining Atox Bio Dr. Shirvan was the co-founder, EVP R&D and director of Aposense Ltd. Dr. Shirvan led the drug development of Aposense technology since its conception, and advanced it from the discovery stage to pre-clinical and clinical development while overseeing all related regulatory aspects. Dr. Shirvan received her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, followed by a 4 years of post-doctoral research at the NIH, in the field of the Annexin family of calcium-binding proteins.
Dr. Gila Arad, Scientific Co-Founder and R&D Director
Dr. Gila Arad is a molecular immunologist at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Israel. Having earned her PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Dr. Arad has been collaborating with Dr. Kaempfer for 20 years. Among her publications are important findings in the field of cytokine gene regulation and superantigen mode of action.
